- 1 Baking tray or pizza stone To place the stretched dough with toppings before baking.
- 1 Bowls and utensils Large bowl for mixing the dough. Floured surface for kneading and rolling out the dough. Pan or saucepan for preparing the tomato sauce.
- 1 Kitchen utensils Measuring spoons and cups for ingredients. Rolling pin for rolling out the dough (optional if you prefer to stretch it by hand). Sharp knife or pizza cutter for slicing the pizza after baking. Parchment paper (optional) for placing the pizza on the tray. Kitchen towel to cover the dough while it rises.
Ingredients
- 500 g wheat flour
- 325 ml warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 7 g dry yeast
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper
- 200 g shredded mozzarella
- 100 g serrano ham
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 100 g mushrooms, sliced
- 50 g black olives, sliced
- Fresh arugula
- Grated parmesan
Instructions
- Mix 500 g wheat flour, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp sugar.
- Dissolve 7 g dry yeast in 325 ml warm water, add 2 tbsp olive oil, and mix with the flour.
- Knead the dough well and let it rise for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
- Sauté 2 minced garlic cloves in oil.
- Add 400 g crushed tomatoes, 1 tsp oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Cook the sauce on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 250°C (482°F).
- Roll out the dough and place it on a baking tray.
- Spread the tomato sauce over the stretched dough.
- Sprinkle 200 g shredded mozzarella over the sauce.
- Add 100 g serrano ham in pieces.
- Place 1 sliced red bell pepper on the pizza.
- Add 1 sliced red onion.
- Place 100 g sliced mushrooms.
- Add 50 g sliced black olives.
- Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with fresh arugula.
- Sprinkle grated parmesan to taste.
